Ematic eGlide Prism 7 Inch ICS Android Tablet Launched For $160
Ematic have unveiled their new eGlide Prism 7 inch Android tablet this week, which is now available for around $160. The Ematic eGlide Prism runs Google’s latest Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich (ICS) operating system, but is equipped with only a single-core 1 GHz processor and 8 GB of Flash memory and has a 7-inch (800×480) capactive LCD screen.
However the eGlide Prism is also fitted with a built-in 3-axis gyroscope combined with an accelerometer, and measures just 9mm thick and weighs just 0.6 pounds. The eGlide Prism’s HD video player supports up to 2160p 3D HD videos, and has Wi-Fi connectivity a front facing camera, built-in speaker and comes supplied with a pair of 3D glasses.
For a budget $160 ICS Android tablet the Ematic eGlide Prism tablet seems a bargain but don’t expect it to provide huge amount of processing power.
“The eGlide Prism is packed with the latest technology designed for an improved user experience,” says Roy Rayn, General Manager of Ematic. “It’s also slim in size which makes it the perfect tablet for people who are always on the move.”

'Leaked' Nokia Lumia PureView concept images brandish bright colors, chunky profile
Take the smartphone camera sensor that was the toast of MWC, add in the burgeoning Windows Phone platform and this might be what you might get. Although we hope -- and suspect -- that it isn't. Sneaking out from China with some judicious pixelation, the phones look pretty... dynamic. With a profile more often associated with those tough, rubberized feature phones, the color gamut of black, magenta and yellow is at least very new-generation Nokia. But, if the concept hardware wasn't incredulous enough, wait 'til you hear the specs. A neat paragraph on one slide explains that this Lumia PureView would feature a 4.3-inch curved high-definition touchscreen (a first for Windows Phone), a dual-core process with an Adreno 320 GPU (yet another first) and Nokia's intriguing 41-megapixel camera sensor peeping out from behind a Carl Zeiss lens. We're looking at these renders through some high-prescription skeptic goggles and reckon it's an unlikely new direction for Nokia's hardware design. However, that's not to say a tie-up between Nokia's PureView tech and Microsoft isn't somewhere along the pipeline...

Images of rumored Google Nexus tablet leaked
Rumors of the upcoming, though unconfirmed, Google tablet dubbed the Nexus have been riding the high wave since quite a while now. Recently, we stumbled across images of what could probably be the upcoming rumored tablet, that search engine giant Google plans to execute under its own brand name. Also, we’ve heard of Asus and Samsung showing up as OEM partners for this upcoming tablet, and from the looks of the images, this one seems to be a 10-inch device packing the Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich operating system. There has been no word on pricing, specs or a darned whisper on Google’s part in regards to this tablet, that could pretty much have the spotlight of the tablet industry turned on itself if it does show for real in future.
First flying car test in the Netherlands yields hope
The PAL-V flying car has been long overdue now, so we're relieved to see the first test of the terrestrial and air vehicle, in the Netherlands. It's called the Personal Air Land Vehicle, if you're wondering about the name and flies like a gyrocopter. At the rear, it's rigged with a push propeller that folds and an auto rotating rotor to top it up. It can fly a good between 220 miles and 315 miles and drive for up to 750 miles. This is more than impressive for a flagship hybrid vehicle. Though it works quite fine on gasoline, the developers are gunning for biofuels in the future. Video after the jump.
It seems that the deliveries of the car will commence not before 2014. Investors are being invited to join in this venture and we’re not doubting the probably success of this whole deal.
Samsung Galaxy S3 leaked image shows up on Korean websites
Samsung is getting the Apple treatment when it comes to new products, and why not, the Galaxy line of phones have had a phenomenal success and are anything short of amazing. The upcoming Galaxy S3 will be running on a Quad core processor, Ice Cream Sandwich and will sport an 4.8 inch HD Super AMOLED display. If the pic is to be believed the S3 will be uber-sleek and would be announced on May 22.

HTC One X review
It's been a difficult year for HTC. After several successful quarters, things have started looking less rosy in recent months with the company facing stiff competition and suffering from apparent brand dilution -- the results of launching too many handsets with forgettable names, making too many compromises for the carriers, continuing to rely on Sense, and lacking an iconic flagship to take on Samsung's mighty Galaxy S II. We knew something important was coming for Mobile World Congress after HTC timidly revealed the Titan II at CES -- after all, the company has a long history of innovation.
A few days before flying to Barcelona and after being sworn to secrecy, we were quietly whisked into a San Francisco conference room with clear instructions: no pictures or video. There, in the middle of the table, was a white phone that instantly caught our eye -- the HTC One X. To write that we came away impressed after briefly using it is a massive understatement. This was obviously a halo device made for geeks like us, something designed to take on the Galaxy Nexuses of the world, something with the mother of all spec sheets, something running Ice Cream Sandwich with a significantly thinner and lighter version of Sense. Better yet, there were two other handsets with the same impeccable attention to detail -- the One S and the One V. HTC was finally showing some vision again with strong branding, gorgeous design and a polished user experience. While first impressions go a long way, there's a lot to be learned about a product by living with it for a few days. So is the One X truly HTC's comeback device? Are we still delighted? Is this the Engadget phone? Hit the break for our full review.

BMW i8 Spyder supercar unveiled
When it comes to designing cars that simply look splendid, Lamborghini has been running ahead all this while, until now. Bavarian automaker BMW has just pulled the veil off the topless version of its drool-worthy concept supercar that seems to have been plucked out the future, the i8. Called the i8 Spyder, this BMW is based on the previously unveiled i8 Coupe and is a plug-in through-the-road hybrid with a 96 kW (131 horsepower) electric motor nestled inside that lends power to the front wheels. Also, with a mid-mounted turbocharged three-cylinder gas engine producing 223 hp to power the rear wheels, the i8 Spyder touches the 62mph mark in under 5 seconds and brags of a top speed of 155 mph, good enough to make you wish you’d left the roof on. Sporting a convertible roof design, this one’s nearly the same as the i8 Coupe concept, with a few minor changes made to the exterior, making it a little more production friendly.
