Texting by thinking

In addition to 5G, phones are now available with the option of texting by thought power alone.* This is achieved by a combination of eye-tracking technology and a sensor-mounted headset worn by the user. The headset contains a brain-machine interface which detects electrical brain waves and converts them into digital signals, then displays the resulting letters on-screen.*

Some high-end models can be used with glasses or visors featuring displays built into their lenses. This enables completely hands-free texting, creating a form of virtual telepathy. The process is rather slow at this stage, requiring a high degree of mental concentration. It is more of a novelty for now. However, advances in the coming years will enable smooth and fast interactions, revolutionising the world of communication.

Panono's throwable 360-degree camera is for enthusiasts only

Lofty price aside, the Panono is a different kind of 360-degree camera.

It starts with its appearance. The grapefruit-sized camera is covered with 36 cameras — each a 3-megapixel camera — which all fire off simultaneously at the same time when the shutter button is activated. Software then stitches all 36 images into a single 108-megapixel photo, which is then viewable in 360-degrees either on your smartphone or on the web.

The Panono comes with 16GB of internal storage (there's no memory card slot for adding more). The company claims the battery is good for taking up to 200 shots. On average, I managed around 125-150 photos on a single charge before the battery died; this was with me turning the camera on/off to conserve power throughout a day of shooting.

There are a few ways to take 360 pics with the Panono:

• Hold it in your hand and press the shutter button or use the app as a remote
• Attach it on a tripod and use the app as a remote
• Attach it on Panono's selfie stick rod and use the included shutter button on the handle
• Throw it in the air and it'll take a photo at its highest point

Disappearing Display is Invisible when Turned Off

An innovative prototype display from Panasonic become invisible when not in use.

The OLED display is an improvement over a previous version, and consists of a fine mesh that has been embedded in a sliding glass door. The display is transparent when turned off, essentially disappearing and allowing the objects behind it to show through.

Futuristic RollTop Foldable Notebook with 17-inch OLED Display and Full Fledged Keyboard

The RollTop is a flexible notebook concept that can be folded like a roll of paper allowing the user ultimate convenience of carrying and storing it even in a congested place. This flying car will be ready for take off in 2017

AeroMobil, a Slovakian company, plans to start selling its creation, the AeroMobil 3.0, in 2017.

The company claims on its site that the vehicle "transforms in seconds from an automobile to an airplane" by using "existing infrastructure created for automobiles and planes."

The vehicle is gas-powered and has wings that fold, which allows it to be parked like a car, though it is nearly 20 feet long.

The company's web site features a video where the AeroMobil 3.0 drives out of a hangar and goes down a highway, sharing the road with regular cars until it arrives at an airstrip. The car then unfolds its wings and takes off from a stretch of grass, rather than a paved tarmac, and flies through the air like any other small airplane.

AeroMobil spokesman Stefan Vadocz said his company hasn't nailed down an exact price because it's not ready yet.

"The prototype is a work in progress," he said in an email. But he said to expect the price to be several hundreds of thousands of euros, somewhere in between a sports car and a light sports aircraft.

The vehicle seats two people -- the pilot and a passenger - and its single propeller is located to the rear of the plane.

The company said the car's top speed on the road is at least 99 mph and while flying is at least 124 mph. It can fly for 435 miles before running out of gas.

E-Ball PC Concept

The E-Ball is a sphere shaped computer concept which is the smallest design among all the laptops and desktops have ever made. This PC concept features all the traditional elements like mouse, keyboard, large screen display, DVD recorder, etc, all in an innovative manner. E-Ball is designed to be placed on two stands, opens by simultaneously pressing and holding the two buttons located on each side. After opening the stand and turning ON the PC, pressing the detaching mouse button will allow you to detach the optical mouse from the PC body. This concept features a laser keyboard that can be activated by pressing the particular button.

There’s no external display unit, a projector will pop up by pressing and holding the button and focus the computer screen on the wall which can be adjusted with navigation buttons. If there is no wall around, the paper sheet holder, divides into three pieces like an umbrella just after popping up, will help to focus the desktop on a paper sheet.

The software interface of E-Ball is highly stylized with icons that can be remembered easily, and is user friendly. This compact PC will be ideal for use when working in office, making video presentations, watching large screen movies, listening music and chatting on the net.
