Dell Venue Pro with WP7 Unveiled
At Microsoft's Windows Phone 7 launch event, Dell has unveiled new Venue Pro slider smartphone.
This is the same Windows Phone 7 running Dell Lightening handset that was unveiled back in April. Yes, this one of its kind portrait slider that has 4.1-inch touchscreen and a portrait QWERTY keyboard. Dell Venue Pro would be first available via T-Mobile in the early November. Its pricing details are currently unknown.
Dell Venue Pro has massive 4.1-inch WVGA OLED capacitive multi-touch display that has been manufactured by Samsung. On top of that, Dell has used Gorilla Glass surface for the better durability and making it scratch resistant. Gorilla Glass has also been used in the recently introduced Dell Streak tablet-smartphone.
Internally, the Dell Venue Pro will have 1GHz Qualcomm's Snapdragon QSD8250 microprocessor that will make Windows Phone 7 run smoothly with 1GB ROM and 512MB DDR SDRAM.
Photography would be fun with 5 megapixel autofocus camera. Venue Pro will support H.263, H.264, 3GP, MPEG4, WMV and DivX video formats. Now this might give some competition to Android 2.2 and bada OS running Samsung smartphones that support DivX out of the box.
Other features of the Dell Venue Pro include Wi-Fi *(802.11 b/g/n), Bluetooth 2.1 EDR, G-sensor, eCompass, Proximity sensor, light sensor, FM Radeo, GPS and 1400 mAh battery.
