Kobo launches $99 Kobo Touch with Offers packing advertisement-support
Paper books seem to be soon nearing extinction with e-book readers and tablets finding their way into people’s hands and hearts. After all, living in space crunched urban areas, not many of us could afford dedicating a room to a library, when a simple device like Kobo’s new e-book reader could store all those pages in a slim device. This new ad-supported e-book reader called the Kobo Touch sports a 6-inch E-ink touchscreen and costs $30 less than the regular model owing to advertising-support. When powered off or in sleep mode, the Kobo Touch with Offers shows up sponsored screens and the like or on the bottom of the screen when switched back on, advertising without hindering your reading experience. Costing $99 a pop, this e-book reader seems like a pretty neat steal!
