Samsung to unveil 11.6-inch tablet with a display better than Retina

The rumor birds in the tech blogsphere are fluttering with the news that Samsung might be busy prepping up an Android 4.0 driven 11.6-inch tablet with a stunning 2560 x 1600 pixel resolution that might put Apple’s Retina display sweat a bit. The tablet here is expected to be unveiled at upcoming MWC congress this February, it is believed it will be ‘barely larger’ than its 10.1-inch sibling owing to the panel having a thinner bezel here. Apple’s upcoming iPad 3 is going to make up for the absence of Retina display in iPad 2 and with Samsung too planning to dole out a better version, it would be quite a sight to see both of these guys up against each other. It is also rumored that Samsung tablet here will be powered by the 2.0 GHz Exynos 5250 processor which is although only dual-core, the ARM Cortex-A15 chip and the more accelerated graphics should lead to much faster performance overall. This spec sheet will work well to match 2560×1600 screen resolution here. Besides, it is also being said that the tablet will have a pixel density of 260 which is way higher than any comparable device on the market. So if any other tech giant wants to hop in here, it better make sure that it matches with the stellar resolution at least.
